Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has admitted that his contract with the club “means nothing”. Zidane stated this after their 2-2 draw against second-tier Numancia in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday. Madrid progressed 5-2 on aggregate thanks to their 3-0 first-leg win, but that remains their only win in four matches. In the league, Zidane’s men are 16 points behind leaders Barcelona. “I just go game to game, year to year,” Zidane, who agreed a new Madrid deal in September, said. “I cannot think two or three years down the line, as I know how it is here, even having a contract, which means nothing. “It is not easy for the players who play less. Controversial Nigerian preacher, Prophet T.B. Joshua, is in the news again after his ministrations reportedly turned a transgender Paraguayan woman back into a man. Prophet TB Joshua has been known to reportedly 'heal' deadly diseases and deformities, offer financial aid to the needy both within and outside his church, and also release prophesies about things that will happen around the world. His recent feat however involves a former transgender woman who reverted back to being a man while the prophet was ministering during a recent crusade. Umar a.k.a Biggi as known by the people of Erepa in Yenagoa was seen packing car spare parts into his truck some days ago. The owner of the items whose name is unknown to us has reported to he's neighbour wat happened when a witness said she saw Umar with those items. They did not see him till Yesterday. He was caught, beaten and handed over to the Nigerian Police Force (NPF). But uptill date, Umar has not agree that he was the one who stole the items.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday spoke on the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). He blamed the then government of late president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua for agreeing to certain demands made by ASUU. Speaking at a book launch in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Obasanjo noted that the administration should not have allowed itself to be stampeded into signing agreements without full consultations. “Government allows itself to be stampeded into signing agreement particularly when one group or the other withdraws their service and go on strike. “After the agreement has been signed, without full consultation within government, and implementation becomes an issue. “But an agreement is an agreement whoever the agent is that signed that agreement on your behalf, you are bound by it. “You may now have to renegotiate to have a new agreement but the agreement earlier signed remains an agreement. “The universities teachers go on strike, ther...

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, yesterday assured Nigerians that the industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), may end in two days. In an interview with The Guardian, the Minister stated that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has a policy of engaging unions, including ASUU.I hope and believe that this would be a one or two days strike. We have a policy of engaging the unions, including ASUU and I think now we are very serious. “This is the first time in two years that ASUU is declaring a strike,” Adamu said. Adamu also held a closed-door meeting with the leader of the Federal Government Renegotiation Team, Dr. B. O Babalakin (SAN). Babalakin had in January, inaugurated the 16-member team to renegotiate the 2009 agreement.
